libmatroska6 software package provides extensible open standard audio/video container format (shared library), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmatroska6
libmatroska6 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmatroska6 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmatroska6 *
You will get with libmatroska6 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
